About me

Hello!

Hey there! My name is Lisa Stanworth. I’m a stay-at home mom of 5 kiddos, living in beautiful Salt Lake City. I grew up in Salt Lake and spent my summers in Hawaii with my dad. I graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in child development. After college my husband and I took off to Boise Idaho for 6 years and now are back in Salt Lake. With 19 years of marriage under my belt, I’ve got plenty of stories to share!  When I’m not busy being a mom, you can find me exploring the great outdoors, creating memories with my family, and jetting off to exciting destinations as a travel podcaster.

A little more about me

The main reason I started a travel podcast is to share my passion for travel, inspire others to explore the world, and provide them with practical tips and advice to make their own journeys unforgettable. I hope that through my podcast, I can ignite the wanderlust in others and encourage them to embark on their own incredible adventures.

We met my sophomore year of college. We had both moved into the same apartment complex and we met the day he moved his stuff in. His friends had dared me to go and give a kiss to their “shy” friend so I walked up, looked him in the eyes, and gave him a hug. I totally chickened out. We exchanged numbers and the rest is history. We spent every day together until the day we got married in 2005. You could almost say it was love at first sight and we have now been married for 18 years.

My favorite place will most likely always be Hawaii. It definitely feels like a second home to me. I tear up every single time we are about to land. In addition to Hawaii, we have had the opportunity to travel to some pretty amazing destinations. Japan is absolutely incredible and somewhere I would go again and again. Chiang Mai Thailand is such a magical place with so much to do and see. Italy has always been a dream of mine and has lived up to every expectation. The world is pretty amazing.
